Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Lubbock TX. Effective from May 31 at 8:03 PM CDT until May 31 at 9:30 PM CDT. Severity: Severe. Urgency: Immediate. Certainty: Likely.
Affected Areas
Central Garza County in northwestern Texas. East Central Lynn County in northwestern Texas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Post.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Avoid flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
Expected Conditions
At 8:03 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen 3 miles northwest of Post. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Hazard: Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
