Alert Details
The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a Flash Flood Warning. This alert is effective from 10:35 PM CDT on April 11, 2026, until 3:30 AM CDT on April 12, 2026.
Affected Areas
The warning affects Edwards County, northwestern Kinney County, and eastern Val Verde County in south central Texas. Specific locations include Del Rio, Rocksprings, Comstock, Loma Alta, Lake View, Carta Valley, Long Point, Amanda, Black Brush Point, Val Verde Park, Laughlin AFB, Diablo East, Standart, Governors Landing, Amistad Village, Cienegas Terrace, Box Canyon, Amistad Acres, Seminole Canyon State Park, and Vinegarone.
What You Should Do
Turn around and do not drown when encountering flooded roads. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize flooding dangers. Avoid flooded areas and do not attempt to travel unless necessary.
Expected Conditions
Doppler radar indicates thunderstorms producing heavy rain, with up to 3 inches of rain already fallen and additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches possible. This will cause life-threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses.
