Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Tucson AZ. Effective from August 5 at 11:40 PM MST until August 6 at 2:45 AM MST. Severity: Severe. Urgency: Immediate. Certainty: Likely.
Affected Areas
East Central Pima County in southeastern Arizona, including Tucson, Drexel Heights, South Tucson, Pascua Pueblo Yaqui Reservation, San Xavier Community, Valencia West, Tucson Mountain Park, Tucson Estates, Tucson International Airport, Summit, Ryan AirField and San Xavier Mission. Highways impacted include Interstate 19 between mile markers 54 and 63, Route 86 between mile markers 163 and 171, and Interstate 10 at multiple segments between mile markers 255-270.

Expected Conditions
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen with additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Hazard is flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
