Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Phoenix AZ. Effective from August 30, 2026 at 7:37 PM MST until August 30, 2026 at 11:30 PM MST. Severity: Severe. Urgency: Immediate. Certainty: Likely.
Affected Areas
East Central La Paz County in west central Arizona, including Harcuvar, Vicksburg, Salome, Vicksburg Junction and Wenden. Includes AZ Route 72 between mile markers 39 and 48 and US Highway 60 between mile markers 45 and 54. Streams and drainages: Salome Wash, Centennial Wash and Calcite Wash.
What You Should Do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement.
Expected Conditions
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Between 1.25 and 1.75 inches of rain have fallen with additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
