Alert Details
A Flash Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Huntsville AL. The alert is effective from June 8 at 5:25 PM CDT until June 8 at 8:30 PM CDT.
Affected Areas
The warning covers Cullman County in north central Alabama, Southern Morgan County in north central Alabama, and Southern Marshall County in northeastern Alabama. Locations that will experience flash flooding include Albertville, Cullman, Hartselle, Guntersville, Arab, Good Hope, Falkville, Holly Pond, Baldwin, Vinemont, Baileyton, West Point, Eva, Cole Springs, Lacon, Florette, Phelan, Ryan Crossroads, Hulaco and Walter.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
Expected Conditions
At 5:25 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
