A Flash Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Louisville KY. The alert is effective from May 20, 2026 at 4:08 AM EDT until May 20, 2026 at 7:15 AM EDT.
Affected Areas
The warning covers Crawford County in south central Indiana and northern Perry County in south central Indiana. Locations that will experience flash flooding include English, Carefree Town, Mount Pleasant, Marengo, Leopold, West Fork, Saint Croix, Sulphur, Oriole and Doolittle Mills.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route. Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you can do so safely.
Expected Conditions
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
