Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Fort Worth TX. Effective from May 27, 2026 at 10:49 AM CDT until May 27, 2026 at 1:00 PM CDT. Severity: Severe. Urgency: Immediate. Certainty: Likely.
Affected Areas
Collin County in north central Texas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Dallas, Plano, McKinney, Frisco, Richardson, Allen, Wylie, Sachse, Murphy, Prosper, Royse City, Anna, Fairview, Princeton, Celina, Lucas, Melissa, Parker, Farmersville and Van Alstyne.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe.
Expected Conditions
At 10:49 AM CDT, Doppler radar reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. The public also reported flooding on SH 78 in northeast Collin County. Between 1-2 inches of rain has fallen in southern Collin County with additional heavy rain expected to continue. Flash flooding is ongoing or imminent. Hazard: Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. Impact: Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low lying areas. Ponding on roadways is imminent or occurring.
