Affected Areas

Southeastern Colbert County, southeastern Lauderdale County, and northwestern Lawrence County in northwestern Alabama. Specific locations include Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, Rogersville, Killen, Town Creek, Littleville, Leighton, St. Florian, Anderson, Northwest Alabama Regional Airport, Ford City, Whiteoak, Colbert Heights, Center Star, Red Bank, Elgin, New Bethel and Pride Landing.

Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen with a rainfall rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
