Affected Areas
Coconino County in north central Arizona, including Colorado River between river miles 0 and 11. Specific locations include Marble Canyon, Marble Canyon Airport, Jackass Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, Lees Ferry, Cathedral Wash, Paria River, and various campgrounds and slot canyons.
What You Should Do
Get out of washes and creeks if camping or hiking. Flooding is occurring or imminent. Avoid flooded areas. Some dirt roads will become muddy and impassable; paved roads and underpasses could flood.
Expected Conditions
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen, with additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches possible. Life threatening flash flooding of creeks, streams, normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
