Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Peachtree City GA. Effective from 2026-05-30T22:15:00-04:00 until 2026-05-31T01:15:00-04:00. Severity: Severe. Certainty: Likely. Urgency: Immediate.
Affected Areas
Southeastern Clarke County in northeastern Georgia and northeastern Oconee County in northeastern Georgia. Specific locations that will experience flash flooding include Athens, Winterville, Whitehall, Athens-Clarke County, State Botanical Garden Of Ga, Beechwood Hills and Barnett Shoals.

Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1.5 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Hazard: Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. Impact: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
