Affected Areas
Central Chesterfield County in central Virginia and Southeastern Henrico County in central Virginia. Specific locations that will experience flash flooding include Richmond, Chester, Chesterfield Court House, Bellwood, Bensley, Chesterfield, Centralia, Drewrys Bluff, Pocahontas State Park, Beach, Varina, Meadowville, Winterpock, Glendale and Elko.

At 6:45 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen in the past hour. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 1.5 inches in 30 minutes. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Hazard: Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. Source: Radar.
