Cherokee County in southeastern Kansas; Southwestern Jasper County in southwestern Missouri; Newton County in southwestern Missouri. Locations include Joplin, Neosho, Baxter Springs, Columbus, Webb City, Carl Junction, Galena, Oronogo, Seneca, Granby, Carterville, Duquesne, Duenweg, Diamond, Leawood, Silver Creek, Fairview, Shoal Creek Drive, Saginaw, Loma Linda, Airport Drive, Lowell, Fidelity, Asbury, Newtonia, Stella, Redings Mill, Stark City, Grand Falls Plaza, Shoal Creek Estates, Waco, Ritchey, Dennis Acres, Cliff Village, Iron Gates, Oakland Park, Racine, Atlas, Riverton and Lawton.

At 5:57 AM CDT, thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 4 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 4 inches are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
