Alert Details
A Flash Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Lincoln IL. The alert is effective from June 17 at 6:16 PM CDT until June 17 at 10:00 PM CDT.
Affected Areas
The warning covers Central Piatt County in central Illinois, Southern Champaign County in east central Illinois, and Southern Vermilion County in east central Illinois. Locations that will experience flash flooding include Champaign, Urbana, Monticello, Savoy, Georgetown, Tolono, Westville, Tilton, Catlin, Bement, Philo, Sidney, Homer, Ridge Farm, Fairmount, Sidell, Pesotum, Sadorus, Broadlands and Allerton. This includes Harry Babe Woodyard State Natural Area, Interstate 72 between mile markers 157 and 172, and Interstate 57 between mile markers 219 and 234.

Expected Conditions
At 6:16 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
