Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Tucson AZ. Effective from August 29, 2026 at 4:26 PM MST until August 29, 2026 at 7:30 PM MST.
Affected Areas
Central Pima County in southeastern Arizona, including Kitt Peak and Pan Tak. This includes Route 86 between mile markers 132 and 149.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. Washes, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
Expected Conditions
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Hazard includes flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
