Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa NM. Effective from 2:42 PM MDT June 14, 2026 until 4:45 PM MDT June 14, 2026.

Central Hudspeth County in western Texas, including Fort Quitman and Esperanza.
What You Should Do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are numerous low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
Expected Conditions
At 2:42 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Hazard is flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
