Central Garfield County in southern Utah, including Escalante, Birch Creek, and the main stem of the Escalante River.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Expected Conditions
Thunderstorms producing heavy rain causing flash flooding. The river is running high and hitting the bottom of the bridge on 300 east just north of Escalante. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
