Alert Details
A Flash Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio TX. The alert is effective from June 5 at 5:40 PM CDT until June 5 at 10:00 PM CDT.
Affected Areas
The warning covers northeastern Burnet County and western Williamson County in south central Texas. Locations that will experience flash flooding include Cedar Park, Georgetown, Leander, Liberty Hill, Florence, Andice, Mahomet, Briggs, Sun City and Seward Junction.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe.
Expected Conditions
At 5:40 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Hazard includes life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
