Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Wakefield VA. Effective from August 4 at 5:00 PM EDT until August 4 at 8:00 PM EDT.
Affected Areas
Northwestern Brunswick County, Lunenburg County, and Mecklenburg County in south central Virginia. Locations that will experience flash flooding include South Hill, Chase City, Victoria, Kenbridge, Brodnax, Lunenburg, Clarksville, La Crosse, Boydton, Kells Corner, Rehoboth, Buffalo Springs, Nelson, Wightman, North View, Wilburn, Rogers Corner, Baskerville, Loves Mill and Fairview.

Expected Conditions
At 5:00 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1.5 to 2.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible.
