Alert Details
A Flash Flood Warning (FFW) has been issued by the National Weather Service in Midland/Odessa TX. The alert is effective from June 2, 2026 at 2:39 PM CDT until June 2, 2026 at 5:45 PM CDT.
Affected Areas
The warning covers Western Brewster County and Eastern Presidio County in southwestern Texas. Specific locations that will experience flash flooding include Alpine, Alpine-Casparis Municipal Airport, and Paisano Pass.
What You Should Do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
Expected Conditions
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
