A Flash Flood Warning was issued by the National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio TX. The alert is effective from May 21 at 5:37 PM CDT until May 21 at 9:45 PM CDT.
Affected Areas
The warning covers northwestern Blanco County, southwestern Burnet County, and southeastern Llano County in south central Texas. Locations that will experience flash flooding include Burnet, Marble Falls, Kingsland, Gainesville, Granite Shoals, Horseshoe Bay, Meadowlakes, Highland Haven, Longhorn Cavern State Park, Inks Lake State Park, Smithwick, Blowout, Cottonwood Shores, and Sunrise Beach Village.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe.
Expected Conditions
At 5:37 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible. Flash flooding is already occurring. Hazard includes life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
