Affected Areas
The warning covers northeastern Bexar County, Comal County, northwestern Guadalupe County and south central Hays County in south central Texas. Locations that will experience flash flooding include San Antonio, New Braunfels, San Marcos, Schertz, Seguin, Cibolo, Universal City, Selma, Canyon Lake Dam, Randolph AFB, Canyon Lake, Fair Oaks Ranch, Bulverde, Garden Ridge, McQueeney, Marion, Santa Clara, Staples, Smithson Valley and Spring Branch.

Expected Conditions
At 4:23 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Hazard includes life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
