The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a Flash Flood Warning, effective from 5:08 AM CDT until 10:00 AM CDT on May 1, 2026.
Affected Areas
The warning affects Bexar County, Southeastern Comal County, Central Guadalupe County, and East Central Medina County in south central Texas. Specific locations include San Antonio, New Braunfels, Schertz, Seguin, Cibolo, Converse, Universal City, Live Oak, Selma, Castroville, San Antonio International Airport, Randolph AFB, Stinson Municipal Airport, Leon Valley, Helotes, Kirby, Alamo Heights, Windcrest, Terrell Hills, and Garden Ridge.

Thunderstorms are producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have already fallen, with additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches possible. This will lead to life-threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses.
