Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX. Effective from June 15, 2026 at 5:36 AM CDT until June 15, 2026 at 10:45 AM CDT.

Affected Areas

Bexar County in south central Texas and East Central Medina County in south central Texas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include San Antonio, Schertz, Cibolo, Converse, Universal City, Live Oak, Selma, Castroville, San Antonio Int Airport, Stinson Municipal Airport, Randolph AFB, Leon Valley, Helotes, Fair Oaks Ranch, Kirby, Alamo Heights, Windcrest, Terrell Hills, Bulverde and Shavano Park.

What You Should Do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.

Expected Conditions

At 5:36 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Hazard: Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. Impact: Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
