Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Lake Charles LA. Effective from June 16, 2026 at 12:10 PM CDT until June 16, 2026 at 4:15 PM CDT.
Affected Areas
Northern Beauregard Parish in southwestern Louisiana, southwestern Vernon Parish in west central Louisiana, and northeastern Newton County in southeastern Texas. Locations include DeRidder, Newton, Rosepine, Merryville, Fort Polk, Sugartown, New Llano, Junction, Tulla, Burr Ferry, Stringtown, Cravens, Pickering, Evans and Bundick Lake.

Expected Conditions
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain in DeRidder with 4 to 6 inches of rain fallen and additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches possible. Flash flooding is already occurring.
