Affected Areas
Coconino County in north central Arizona. Specific locations include Tappan Spring, State Route 64 between mile markers 293 and 295, Willows Camp, Tappan Spring swimming hole, Lee Canyon, Burro Canyon Wash, Needmore Wash, Little Colorado River, Tappan Wash and Cedar Wash.
What You Should Do
Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will become muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could become flooded as well. Avoid flooded areas.
Expected Conditions
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Between 1.25 and 2.25 inches of rain have fallen with additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches possible. Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
