Maricopa County in south central Arizona... * Until 930 AM MST. * At 431 AM MST, gauge reports indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.75 and 1.25 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.75 to 1.25 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Gauges reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, streets and low water crossings. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Phoenix, New River, Cave Creek, Carefree, Anthem and Seven Springs. Gauges along Skunk Creek are showing elevated flow, likely impacting low water crossings.
