Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Charleston WV. Effective from August 16 at 12:54 AM EDT until August 16 at 6:00 AM EDT. Severity: Severe. Urgency: Immediate. Certainty: Likely.

Perry County in southeastern Ohio, including New Lexington, Somerset, Perry State Forest, Crooksville, Thornville, Junction City and Glenford.

Expected Conditions
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Hazard: Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. Impact: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
