Affected Areas
Central Washington County in southeastern Ohio. Western Pleasants County, northwestern Ritchie County, and northeastern Wood County in northwestern West Virginia. Specific locations include Parkersburg, Marietta, St. Marys, Beverly, Vienna, Williamstown, Belmont, Boaz, Newport, North Hills, Lowell, Waverly, Devola, Willow Island and Schultz. Includes Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 178 and 186 and Interstate 77 in Ohio between mile markers 1 and 10.
What You Should Do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll free 800 401 9535 when you can do so safely.
