Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Flagstaff AZ effective September 13 at 5:27 PM MST until September 13 at 8:30 PM MST.
Affected Areas
Navajo County in north central Arizona, mainly rural areas. Includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 260 and 261, and the following creeks, washes and rivers: Billy Wash, Cottonwood Wash, Pueblo Colorado Wash, Fern Feather Wash, Humpy Wash, Little Colorado River, Manila Wash and Blairs Spring Wash.
What You Should Do
Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will become muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could become flooded as well. Avoid flooded areas.
Expected Conditions
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.25 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible. Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, highways, streets and underpasses.
