What You Should Do
This is a life threatening situation. Heavy rainfall will cause extensive and severe flash flooding of creeks, streams, and ditches in the Lee Burn Scar. Severe debris flows can also be anticipated across roads. Roads and driveways may be washed away in places. If you encounter flood waters, climb to safety. Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging currents in a matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement.
Expected Conditions
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the Lee Burn Scar. Between 0.3 and 0.6 inches of rain have fallen. Expected rainfall rate is 1.5 to 3 inches in 1 hour. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow consisting of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.
