East Central Johnson County in east central Kansas; East Central Wyandotte County in northeastern Kansas; Northern Cass County in west central Missouri; Western Jackson County in west central Missouri. Locations include Kansas City, Overland Park, Independence, Lee's Summit, Leawood, Raytown, Grandview, Belton, Prairie Village, Fairway, Mission Hills, Sugar Creek, Westwood, Westwood Hills, Mission Woods, Roeland Park and Unity Village.

Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Between 0.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen with additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 2.5 inches possible.
