Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Louisville KY. Effective from May 22 at 10:05 PM EDT until May 23 at 1:15 AM EDT. Alert type code: FFW.
Affected Areas
Southeastern Henry County in central Kentucky and northeastern Shelby County in central Kentucky. Specific locations include Pleasureville, Bethlehem, Defoe, Slabtown, Elmburg, Franklinton, Lockport, North Pleasureville, Fallis and Orville.
What You Should Do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Expected Conditions
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen with additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches possible. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
