FFWSLC The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... San Juan County in southeastern Utah... * Until 300 PM MDT. * At 1201 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 0.75 inches in 30 minutes. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of normally dry washes, slot canyons, creeks and streams. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Mainly rural areas of San Juan County including Sei Billikoon, Face Canyon Creek, West Canyon Creek, and other drainages and canyons between the Arizona border and Lake Powell.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
