Yavapai County in west central Arizona... * Until 630 PM MST. * At 226 PM MST, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area, with water across SR-89 near MP 355. Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Drake and Paulden. This includes State Route 89 between mile markers 335 and 359. This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Verde River, Big Chino Wash, Rattlesnake Wash, Hell Canyon, Meath Wash, Granite Creek, Grindstone Wash and Wagon Tire Wash.

Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will become muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could become flooded as well.
