Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Indianapolis IN. Effective from June 21 at 10:56 PM EDT until June 22 at 12:00 AM EDT.
Affected Areas
Daviess County in southwestern Indiana, northeastern Knox County in southwestern Indiana, and northern Martin County in southwestern Indiana. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Vincennes, Washington, Bicknell, Loogootee, Odon, Elnora, Wheatland, Bruceville, Plainville, Sandborn, Montgomery, Edwardsport, Cannelburg, West Boggs Lake, Burns City and Indian Springs.
What You Should Do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
Expected Conditions
At 10:56 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. Hazard is flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
