Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Quad Cities IA IL. Effective from 2026-09-20T01:38:00-05:00 until 2026-09-20T07:30:00-05:00. Event code: FFW.
Affected Areas
Southwestern Clinton County, eastern Muscatine County and Scott County in east central Iowa. Northwestern Bureau County, Henry County, Mercer County, Rock Island County and southern Whiteside County in northwestern Illinois. Specific locations include Davenport, Moline, Rock Island, Bettendorf, Muscatine, East Moline, Kewanee, Aledo, Cambridge, Silvis, Geneseo, Eldridge, Colona, Milan, Le Claire, Coal Valley and Galva. Also affects Big Bend Fish and Wildlife Area, Johnson-Sauk Trail State Recreation Area, Prophetstown State Park, and segments of Interstates 74, 280, 80 and 88.

Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have already fallen, with additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches likely. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, underpasses, poor drainage and low-lying areas is ongoing or expected.
