Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Lubbock TX (NOAA). Effective from May 31, 2026 at 5:54 PM CDT until May 31, 2026 at 7:30 PM CDT. Severity: Severe. Urgency: Immediate. Certainty: Likely.

East Central Crosby County and West Central Dickens County in northwestern Texas. Specific locations include FM Road 836 northwest of Spur and rural areas of East Central Crosby and West Central Dickens Counties.

Expected Conditions
Slow-moving thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen, mainly along and near FM Road 836 about 12 miles northwest of Spur. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Hazard: Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. Impact: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
