FFWVEF The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... West Central Mohave County in northwestern Arizona... South Central Clark County in southern Nevada... * Until 615 PM PDT /615 PM MST/. * At 311 PM PDT /311 PM MST/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain near Cottonwood Cove. Between 0.5 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly with additional storms developing into Northwest Arizona. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Dolan Springs, Cottonwood Cove, Cottonwood Cove Campground and Willow Beach.

What the agency told people to do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
