The warning covers the Cottonwood Burn Scar in Piute County and Southwestern Piute County in central Utah. At 9:43 PM MDT, local law enforcement reported heavy rain over the Cottonwood Burn Scar with approximately 0.5 to 1 inch of rain fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring with flows reported in City Creek. Excessive rainfall will result in water and debris moving through City Creek, Tenmile Creek, Gold Gulch, and Cottonwood Creek drainages.
