Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Tucson AZ. Effective from 8:50 PM MST on August 11, 2026 until 11:45 PM MST. Severity: Severe. Urgency: Immediate. Certainty: Likely.
Affected Areas
Southwestern Cochise County and southeastern Santa Cruz County in southeastern Arizona. Specific locations include Sierra Vista, Hereford, Fort Huachuca, Parker Canyon Lake, Palominas, Ramsey Canyon Preserve, Coronado National Memorial, and Canelo. Affected highways include Route 90 (mile markers 315-333), Route 80 (323-327), Route 92 (322-342), and Route 83 (3-16). Impacted streams and drainages include Spring Creek, Santa Cruz River, Turkey Creek, San Pedro River, Slaughter House Wash, and Babocomari River. Flash flood prone locations include Moson Rd from HWY 90 and Hereford Rd.

Expected Conditions
Trained weather spotters reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Gauges in Sierra Vista and Hereford recorded 1 to 1.5 inches in the past 45 minutes. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
