Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Albuquerque NM. Effective from September 25, 2026 at 8:10 PM MDT until September 25, 2026 at 11:15 PM MDT. Alert type code: FFW.
Affected Areas
Eastern Curry County in east central New Mexico and East Central Roosevelt County in east central New Mexico. Specific locations include Clovis, Ranchvale, Cannon Air Force Base, Saint Vrain, Oasis State Park, Broadview, Bellview, Portair and Pleasant Hill. This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 371 and 393.
What You Should Do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
Expected Conditions
At 8:10 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
