Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Charleston WV. Effective from September 22, 2026 at 5:30 PM EDT until September 22, 2026 at 8:30 PM EDT.
Affected Areas
Eastern Braxton County, West Central Randolph County, Upshur County, Northern Webster County and Southeastern Lewis County in West Virginia. Specific locations include Buckhannon, Rock Cave, Holly River State Park, Burnsville, Flatwoods, Kanawha Head, Eden, Cleveland, Ireland, Walkersville, French Creek, Alexander, Hacker Valley, Alton, Falls Mills, Helvetia, Horner, Lorentz, Tallmansville and Diana. Includes Interstate 79 between mile markers 73-81 and 86-87, Route 33 between mile markers 2-7 and 15-17, and numerous streams such as Buckhannon River, Holly River and Elk River.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll free 800-401-9535 when you can do so safely.
