Extreme Heat Warning issued by NWS Jackson MS (NOAA). Effective from August 16 at 2:29 PM CDT until August 17 at 8:00 PM CDT.

Portions of central, east central, north central, northeast, and southeast Mississippi, including Grenada, Carroll, Montgomery, Webster, Clay, Lowndes, Choctaw, Oktibbeha, Attala, Winston, Noxubee, Leake, Neshoba, Kemper, Scott, Newton, Lauderdale, Smith, Jasper, Clarke, Covington, Jones, and Forrest counties.
What You Should Do
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Schedule frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments during outdoor work. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency. Call 911.
