Dust Storm Warning issued by NWS Goodland KS. Effective from May 16, 2026 at 8:12 PM CDT until May 16, 2026 at 9:15 PM CDT.
Affected Areas
Gove County in west central Kansas, including Quinter, Grainfield, Gove, Park, and The Monument Rocks. This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 88 and 112.

Expected Conditions
At 8:12 PM CDT, a wall of dust was along a line extending from near Grinnell to 14 miles south of Oakley to 8 miles west of Scott State Lake, moving east at 60 mph. Hazard includes less than a quarter mile visibility with strong wind in excess of 50 mph.
