* WHAT...For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 9 to 15 feet in the surf zone. For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents. For the Coastal Flood Warning, one to two feet of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline. * WHERE...Southeast Suffolk County. * WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory, until 8 PM EDT Saturday. For the High Rip Current Risk, through Saturday evening. For the Coastal Flood Warning, from 6 PM this evening to 6 PM EDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Widespread flooding of vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline, including roads, parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes and businesses with basements near the waterfront. Numerous road closures are likely, and vehicles parked in vulnerable areas near the waterfront will likely become flooded. Flooding will also extend inland from the waterfront along tidal rivers and bays. Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Life- threatening rip currents are likely for all people entering the surf zone. Anyone visiting the beaches should stay out of the surf. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Moderate to major flooding will occur over multiple high tide cycles tonight through Sunday. The worst flooding is expected with the Saturday morning high tide cycle.
