A Coastal Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA. The alert is effective from 5 PM EDT on September 25, 2026, to 8 PM EDT on September 27, 2026. A High Surf Advisory remains in effect from 5 AM EDT on September 25 to 8 PM EDT on September 27.

Expected Conditions
Large breaking waves of 6 to 13 feet are expected in the surf zone. Up to one foot of inundation above ground level is possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways (4.2 to 12.8 feet Mean Lower Low Water). Strong northeast winds with large waves will cause minor coastal flooding with pockets of moderate flooding over multiple high tide cycles.

The Coastal Flood Warning is in effect from 5 PM this afternoon through 8 PM EDT Sunday. The High Surf Advisory runs from 5 AM early this morning to 8 PM EDT Sunday. An extended period of beach erosion is expected from late Friday through the weekend, with greatest risk south of Boston and onto the Cape and Islands.
