The notice as issued

* WHAT...Southeasterly winds 40 to 50 mph with gust up to 75 mph in the morning. Then, winds shift westerly, increasing to 50 to 60 mph with gusts up to 75 mph. * WHERE...Shemya. * WHEN...From 1 PM this afternoon to 4 AM AKDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...High winds may move loose debris, damage property, and cause power outages. Travel will be difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There is a 30 to 50 percent chance of gusts 75 mph or greater with southeasterly winds in the early afternoon. However, the highest gusts will be most likely from about mid-afternoon through the evening, after winds turn westerly. Winds will gradually diminish through the overnight hours.
