* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall remains possible. * WHERE...Portions of southwest Iowa, including the following counties, Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie and Shelby and Nebraska, including the following counties, Butler, Cass, Dodge, Douglas, Gage, Jefferson, Johnson, Lancaster, Nemaha, Otoe, Pawnee, Richardson, Saline, Sarpy, Saunders, Seward and Washington. * WHEN...Through Thursday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Prolonged rain falling on saturated soil could lead to flooding in the coming days. Total rainfall amounts of 2-4 inches are expected in many locations through Thursday, with localized amounts topping 5 to 6 inches for some. - For flood safety information, visit weather.gov/safety/flood.
