...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas... Devils River At Pafford Crossing nr Comstock affecting Val Verde County. Devils River At Bakers Crossing 19N Of Comstock affecting Val Verde County. Devils River At Cauthorn Ranch Near Juno affecting Val Verde County. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Devils River at Pafford Crossing nr Comstock. * WHEN...Until Friday evening. * IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, (2.4 meters), Moderate flooding covers several hundred yards of the flood plain. Campers, automobiles and equipment can be washed downstream below Juno to Amistad Reservoir. Livestock should be moved from flood prone areas of the flood plain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:15 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 6.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 4.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:15 PM CDT Thursday was 7.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 7.2 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 5.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 7.9 feet on 09/23/1990. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
