...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texas... Devils River At Pafford Crossing nr Comstock affecting Val Verde County. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Devils River at Pafford Crossing nr Comstock. * WHEN...Until Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 6.0 feet, (1.8 meters), Moderate lowland flooding over 1/4 mile wide covers the right bank to the canyon walls. The turbulent flow can wash motorists, campers, and equipment downstream from Pafford Crossing to Amistad Reservoir. Livestock are cut off and potentially drowned below Juno to Amistad Reservoir. At 8.0 feet, (2.4 meters), Moderate flooding covers several hundred yards of the flood plain. Campers, automobiles and equipment can be washed downstream below Juno to Amistad Reservoir. Livestock should be moved from flood prone areas of the flood plain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:15 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 2.8 feet. - Bankfull stage is 4.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon to a crest of 7.6 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow evening. - Flood stage is 5.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
